Project Overview
The Queensland - NSW Interconnector project endeavours to enhance the transmission infrastructure and substations connecting NSW and Queensland, resulting in a significant improvement in the availability of energy resources for both regions. Noteworthy upgrades to the previous transmission lines have taken place in key locations such as Muswellbrook, Liverpool, Tamworth, Armidale, Inverell, and various other parts of NSW.
The project involved the upgrade of approximately 300 kilometers of existing transmission line, along with the replacement of over 50 towers, signifying a substantial investment in modernizing the transmission network for enhanced efficiency and reliability. These extensive improvements are poised to strengthen the interconnection between Queensland and NSW, bolstering the energy capacity and facilitating more seamless energy transfer between the two states.
